As a hub for eyewear and creativity, Eyewear Design Week is full of unique experiences. One, which debuts for the first time this year, is Le Petit Musée de Lunettes, an intimate vintage eyewear museum and retail experience housed at EYECON. Curated by Selima Salaun, optician, designer and founder of Selima Optique, Le Petit Musée de Lunettes showcases a selection of rare vintage eyewear that Salaun has collected over decades, spanning pieces from iconic maisons, independent designers and fashion history treasures. Alongside this unrivalled vintage collection, the Musée will also host pieces from the current Selima Optique collection and collaborations including frames designed with legendary costume designer and creative director June Ambrose, fashion icon Iris Apfel and more. In addition, a portion of Selima’s archival collection will be available for purchase outside of her boutiques for the first time.

Le Petit Musée de Lunettes is designed as a compact, powerful fashion archive, showcasing rare and unique eyewear—some for the very first time. Ahead of its debut, 20/20 spoke with Salaun for a peek behind the curtain at the creation of the Musée, its home at EYECON, a look ahead to the rest of 2026 in eyewear and more.
