Fashion was never far from Emily Cole. As the daughter of designer Kenneth Cole, she grew up around the people, places and conversations that shaped one of America’s best-known fashion brands. Family trips could double as business trips or shopping excursions, and many of the colleagues she works with today are people she has known since childhood.
She also showed an early affinity with her father’s creative instincts. “I would bring home cool shoes, and one would go missing from my closet,” she said, laughing at the memory of her father possibly borrowing them for inspiration.
