For jewelry designer Maria Tsismentzglou, beauty has never been a pursuit so much as an inheritance. The founder of ÁMMA, a new jewelry collection unveiled in September 2025, Tsismentzglou grew up in a world threaded with artistry — from the flower shop her parents owned in Queens to her grandfather’s tailoring studio, craftsmanship, beauty, and design were part of daily life. “I’ve always been drawn to beautiful things,” she said. “It’s part of who I am.”

Born and raised in New York’s vibrant Greek community, Tsismentzglou spent her childhood summers in Greece and later lived in Athens between the ages of ten and fifteen — a formative chapter that anchored her in her heritage and shaped her creative identity.
