Accessories Council honored Fashion Calendar’s Ruth Finley with Hall of Fame Tribute
New York, NY (June 16 2010)- The Accessories Council honored industry
luminary Ruth Finley, with a Hall of Fame 2010 Tribute at the Marchon
Eyewear Showroom on Tuesday, June 15th .
The Hall of Fame Tribute event, which began in 2007, is bestowed to a proven leader who contributes to the $30 billion a year accessories market, one of the fastest-growing and economically stable fields of fashion. This year’s recipient, Ruth Finley, is celebrating her 65th anniversary as the publisher and founder of Fashion Calendar. The thorough listing of every single fashion event, from runway shows and store openings to market days and parties, keeps the industry in working order and as close to fashionably on time as possible.
Many of Ruth’s friends turned out to support her including Stan Herman, Nicole Miller, Carlos Falchi, Steve Dumain of Be + D, Russell Nardoza of Geoffrey Beene, and designer Adrienne Landau.
Previous honorees of the Hall of Fame Tribute award include Elaine Gold of Elaine Gold Enterprises (2007); Mary Belle of Jones Apparel Group (2008), Marge Axelrad of Vision Monday & 20/20 Magazine (2008) and Dorothy Roberts of Echo Design Group (2009) all of which were in attendance.

A portion of the proceeds garnered for the evening will be donated to the High School Of Fashion Industries.
